I’m not that gal with “5+ years of experience” and I’m not here to pretend I’m a know-it-all.

In fact, I don’t know most things… about you and your business to be specific. But what I know are the real questions worth answering — questions you might not have thought about or avoided because they seemed irrelevant.

One could argue that’s what makes me worth it. (wink wink)

How it all started

My former boss literally asked me, “Don’t you ever sleep?”

I was a social media manager at a hyper-paced global agency. I worked tirelessly to give my clients the best experience, and it paid off. Within seven months, I was promoted to team lead.

But with it came new responsibilities. As much as I loved leading a growing team of 25+ social media managers, I quickly realised I was burning the candle at both ends. So, I decided to go bold and go home (in short, I resigned).

With almost no clients and a lot of free time on my hands, I took an online brand management course offered by the University of London and London Business School. That’s when something clicked.

Over the years, I’ve seen a fair share of the chaos caused by the lack of a clear brand strategy and identity. Not because the founders or business owners lacked passion. They simply didn’t know better. I knew I needed to get on the ground level to help others like them overcome this problem.

And that, kids, is the story of how I met your brand’s future — strategic brand design.

Hi, I'm Anjana

I could talk about how I was a district topper in senior high school and a marketing postgrad with distinction. #HumbleBrag

But who cares about that? Let’s talk about the real me…

I’m an ambivert. That means you get the best of both worlds.

I’m pretty relaxed to work with and I know when to shut up and listen.

(But I’m definitely introverted if you ask me to “jump on a call” at the last minute).

My design thinking

My design philosophy is simple. I subscribe to the idea that the best design is not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

My signature style

My design style leans toward modern, chic, and minimalist. I don’t do “make it pretty” or “make it POP” (Thank you, Betty, that’s enough pop to last us a lifetime!).

My perfect flaw

A brand design has to be functional and practical. That means I’ll spend hours staring at my laptop curating the perfect font combo and an accessible colour palette for your brand.

A few things I believe in

  • Strategy without creativity is forgettable. Creativity without strategy is messy. You need both.
  • Designers shouldn’t be expected to undervalue or overextend themselves just to prove their worth.
  • Where we’re from shouldn’t decide the value of our services.
  • Everyone deserves a hype woman. But we also need someone who’ll say what others won’t.

Random facts about me

  • My pets are family. If I ever say I’m taking a day off to take them for a joyride, I’m not kidding.
  • I’m a tea gal and never mind an afternoon tea. Sorry coffee, you know I still like you.
  • Whether I’m working or working out, I love listening to music. Whoever said background music is reserved for movies?!
  • When the English Premier League (football) or the Indian Premier League (cricket) is on, I’ll be busy cheering for Chelsea FC or RCB.
  • I’m always down for a Pokémon marathon. (Yes, I’m talking about the cartoon series I used to watch as a kid!)
  • Finally, I have an amazing twin sister. We are fraternal but look pretty much alike, enough to trip people up.
